In 2024, KMC actively fulfilled its social responsibilities by implementing over ten social contribution projects in areas such as education, transportation, electricity, food security, water supply, community collaboration, and healthcare. Following provincial recommendations and national evaluations, KMC was ultimately awarded the National Responsible Mining and Social Impact Award in Zimbabwe.

On November 29, 2024, representatives from KMC, including Mr. Zhang Yi, attended the award ceremony. The event was organized by the Environmental, Social, and Governance Network of Zimbabwe (ESGNZ). Established in 2016, ESGNZ is a national organization in Zimbabwe dedicated to integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into corporate strategies to promote sustainable socio-economic development.

KMC's receipt of this award highlights our exemplary demonstration of social responsibility in Zimbabwe's mining sector. It not only reflects our commitment to sustainable development but also sets a benchmark for other mining enterprises. We will continue to strive for improvement in our future endeavors, upholding our commitment to responsible mining practices.
